The 2011 Advance Manufacturing Show was a great success for the Dayton Region. Knox Machinery and two lucky Knox Machinery contest winners: Tom Marchant of Precision Aero in Troy and Scott Webster of Richards Industries in Cincinnati. Tom Marchant filled out the Knox Machinery survey and won a $100 Gas Card and Scott Webster walked away with the grand prize – a shiny new IPad 2 (which he says he will have to hide from his wife!) Congrats to both these lucky gentlemen.
The vibe was great as many manufacturers are busy and looking to add capacity and/or technology to fulfill strong demand. Knox Machinery definitely won the award for best technology @ the show, showcasing 6 CNC machines including a massive 40,000 pound box way five axis Kitamura machining center, probing on a YCM TC16 8” chuck lathe, hi-tech preventative maintenance tools, a YCM XV1020A, a 7-axis Ganesh Cyclone turning center, a Hwacheon Cutex240BSMC 5-axis turning center and the Moto Man Load World robot system was a real show stopper! Although most of this machinery is now making chips in local shops, we still have a good selection of new and used machines in stock. Be sure to join us December 7th and 8th for our customer appreciation open house at our show room in Franklin (1 minute off of the highway) to see more machines!
