On Thursday, April 14th Knox Machinery, along with their strategic partners Iscar and Mastercam hosted a one day multi-tasking class at their Franklin tech center.
With more and more companies needing to increase their competitiveness by decreasing their setup and cycle times, this latest class from Knox University was extremely well received.
A very aggressive and complex part was processed live with only 5 tools on a 50HP Spinner boxed way multi-tasking turning center with a Fanuc 31i CNC Controller.
Mastercam showed how to use its on board calculation features to easily program multi-function tools, and Iscar showcased their extensive multi-function tools which allow machinist multiple cuts using one STANDARD tool.
