Doug was actually a customer of Knox Machinery in his “past life”, where he worked for years running a shop that ran a Knox 50 taper VMC.
When Greg Knox found out that Doug had moved on from that company he “jumped on it” and began courting Doug to head up Knox Machinery’s new Preventive Maintenance group.
Doug has an extensive background in machine tools, having been involved personally with every facet of running a machine shop – from setup and programming, right through to repairs and retrofits.
Doug also received a BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
Knox Machinery is very excited not only about Doug’s excellent knowledge and experience, but also his methodical systems approach to trouble shooting and customer first “can do” attitude, which is quickly garnering him rave reviews from our customers.
And when Doug is not troubleshooting CNC’s he can be found on his farm with his lovely wife and 3 children playing veterinarian, carpenter and mason!!!
